Infant mortality by Emirate, Nationality group, Age Group and Gender

The probability that a child born in a specific year or period will die before reaching the age of 1 year, if subject to age-specific mortality rates of that period, expressed as a rate per 1000 live births. The infant mortality rate is, strictly speaking, not a rate (i.e. the number of deaths divided by the number of population at risk during a certain period) but a probability. *metadata sheet to be found attached or in additional information below

Method of Calculation Number of deaths of infants under age 1 devided by live births in a given year multiplied by 1,000. Note that rates for North emirates might not be accurate as place of registration of Birth and deaths might differ and it is not calculated by place of usual residence.
